How It All Began

John & Barbara met in grade school. John was in the first grade only because he was held back, & Barbara was in the second grade. It was love at first sight John wrote "She was a freckled faced little girl, but for some reason or another I fell totally in love with her."
Fifteen years later they were married. "During the time I was in the service I always prayed that Heavenly Father would keep her for me so that we could be married..."
John coming home on furlough from the service propopsed to an already engaged Barbara for the last time in the car with her sister & friend present he "handed her a ring & license and said now or never." They were married at 2pm the next day, and thus began the Family of John & Barbara Curtis.
